How we check Platinum Play

Every page on this site rests on one fact sheet: a list of values, each with the page it was read from, the section, a short quote and a date. If a value is not in that sheet, it is not on the site. This page explains how the sheet is filled.

Where the figures come from

  1. The operator's own pages. The NZ home page, banking, promotions, promotional terms, the general terms, the FAQ, the mobile and desktop pages, the help centre. Review sites and forums are not sources; at most they tell us where to look.
  2. The regulator. The Kahnawake Gaming Commission certificate linked from the casino's footer, read live.
  3. The testing lab. The eCOGRA certificate linked from the footer, read live.
  4. App stores. The App Store and Google Play search pages, to see whether an app by the operator exists.

Why some dates are copy dates

The live brand site https://www.platinumplaycasino.com/nz/ returned a geo-block page ("You are unable to access this casino from this Country") from the checking IP (France) on 4 October 2026 and no New Zealand proxy was available, so the facts were read from dated Wayback Machine copies of the NZ pages (January to March 2026, with older copies from January and July 2025 for pages not archived later; the /nz/ withdrawal policy is not archived, so the global-site copy was used). The Kahnawake certificate, the eCOGRA certificate and the App Store and Google Play searches were read live on 4 October 2026. The Help Centre could not be read (live 403, archive copy is a JavaScript shell). No account was opened, nothing was deposited and support was not contacted; the cashier behind the login was not seen.

When that is the case the page says so, both under the first screen and in the "What was not done" list. A copy date is never passed off as a live check.

Banner against terms

Casinos put the kind number on the banner and the full number in the terms. Where the two disagree, both appear on the page with their sources, and the planning advice uses the worse one: the longer wait, the higher multiple, the lower cap.

What a check never includes

Rechecks

Offers are rechecked within a week, payment rules within a month, licence and company details within three months. The "Checked" date on a page moves only after a new read; if a value changed, the page changes the same day.

Author block

The "What was checked / What was not done" lists under each article are generated from the work log, line by line. Nothing in them is written for effect.
